As you prepare for the second GOP debate this evening in California, keep in mind that there will be a lot of news coverage, and not all of it will be factual and unbiased. Ad Fontes Media’s Interactive Media Bias Chart® can help you navigate the crowded news ecosystem as we head toward the 2024 General Election.

The Interactive Media Bias Chart offers our Pro subscribers the ability to filter thousands of pieces of rated content by keyword. This allows them to view the bias and reliability ratings for website articles and TV/podcast episodes about particular issues and people. The content keyword filter is easy to use. Here’s how:

Tonight’s Republican debate, hosted by the Fox Business Network, will include seven presidential candidates: Doug Burgum, Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, Vivek Ramaswamy and Tim Scott. Former President Trump is not participating in the debate, but you can bet that both he and President Biden will be referenced throughout the evening as the GOP field debates various topics.

Our Pro subscribers can use the “Joe Biden” and “Donald Trump” content keywords to find samples of their previous news coverage and see how our team of more than 60 analysts rated articles and episodes from thousands of news and news-like sources. Want to see the content itself? Just click on the colored dot on the chart to read the article or TV/podcast episode that was rated by our analyst team.

Interested in particular issues during this election season? Use keyword filters such as “Abortion,” “Foreign Policy,” “Immigration” or “Ukraine Conflict” to follow how these topics have been covered and will be covered over the next year as we approach Nov. 5, 2024, when Americans go to the polls to elect their next president.

If you’re a political junkie and want to see how sources cover state primaries and the entire election process, use the “Elections” keyword to see a sample of election-related coverage from various news sources that have been rated by our analyst team.

There are more than 100 content keywords in all, allowing our Pro subscribers to search for articles/episodes related to everything from “Criminal Justice” to “Celebrities” to “Weather” and “Energy.” Try out the Interactive Media Bias Chart, and limit the results to your own interests. Then compare the various articles and episodes by their bias and reliability ratings to see how various sources covered those topics.
