Dan Abrams of NewsNation’s “Dan Abrams Live” hosted a segment on his Aug. 21 show about Ad Fontes Media’s newest flagship Media Bias Chart, released last week.
Abrams explained where his own show lands on the chart, as well as the rating of the NewsNation TV Network (both have a bias rating of “middle/balanced” and a reliability rating of “analysis or wide variation in reliability”). “Its interactive chart shows that ’Dan Abrams Live’ is right in the middle of the balanced bias line,” Abrams said. “You can’t get any more balanced than that.”
He also compared the ratings of other cable news shows that air near the time of his own program: CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight,” and Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Prime Time” and “Hannity.”
Vanessa Otero, founder and CEO of Ad Fontes Media, appeared on the show to explain our ratings process and what it means if a source lands in the “middle/balanced” portion of the chart. Watch a portion of the segment here:
