Ad Fontes Media’s monthly static charts provide a glimpse of media bias and reliability ratings for a selection of sources. Today we are highlighting December’s podcast edition of our monthly static charts.
According to the 25th Anniversary of The Infinite Dial by Edison Research, approximately 90 million Americans are weekly podcast listeners. These listeners are consuming multiple podcasts, and average nine podcast episodes per week. News is the second most popular genre for podcast listeners, with comedy being the No. 1 genre. That is a lot of news being consumed.
If you regularly get your news from podcasts, it is important to know whether the news you’re consuming is biased and reliable. This is where the podcast edition of our monthly static media bias charts can help.
The 700 podcasts that have been rated thus far include more than 2.7K episodes! We are featuring 63 of those podcasts on December’s static media bias chart. Why only 63? It would be quite crowded with all 700 podcasts on one chart.
The good news is that if you wish to take a deep dive into the expansive data set of 2.7K episodes, you can explore them using the Interactive Media Bias Chart ® on our website, as well as our Media Bias Chart app, available for iPhone and Android. All together we have rated over 3.4K sources from multiple platforms including web/print, TV/video and podcast/audio. Become an annual subscriber today to have limited access to our data set!
Whether you’re a seasoned listener or new to these podcasts, take a look and let us know what you think. Immerse yourself in the intricate world of online news and foster conversations with others who hold divergent perspectives from yourself. Understanding the news ecosystem can deepen your comprehension of the news, enabling you to cultivate a well-rounded and healthy news habit.
