Ad Fontes Media has released its new flagship Media Bias Chart®, just in time for the new school year!

If you’re familiar with our monthly charts, you might be wondering, what’s the flagship chart? We produce an updated flagship version of the Media Bias Chart® only twice per year, in January and August. Unlike our monthly charts that are specific to web/print, podcast/audio and TV/video, the flagship chart displays a mix of all of them in one image.

If you’re one of the many who have asked us for a chart that features more mainstream sources, this is for you! The August flagship chart contains many of the most popular media outlets, including Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post and AP, as well as CBS, NBC and ABC News.

Note that CNN, MSNBC and Fox News are listed twice — once for their websites and once for their TV channels (the ratings are different!). There are national magazines like Rolling Stone and People, as well as local media such as Orlando Sentinel and Fox 10 Phoenix.

Also included are top TV news shows such as Fox and Friends, CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip and Amanpour and Co., and popular podcasts such as Pod Save America, The Joe Rogan Experience and The Ben Shapiro Show.

The new flagship chart contains a total of 170 sources: 126 from web/print, 22 podcast/audio and 22 TV/video programs. Click here to access your FREE download to print or to use in a class or presentation. We know it can be difficult to see the individual logos, so a full list of all sources on the flagship chart is available here.

All together we’ve rated more than 3,900 sources. Search for your favorites on the Interactive Media Bias Chart on the website. It’s free, but there are limits in terms of how many searches you can conduct per day and/or how much source data you can access. To get expanded access, you’ll need a News Nerd subscription. And to access ALL of it, you’ll need a News Nerd Pro subscription.

You can also search all 3,900+ sources on our app available for iPhone and Android. Download the app from the App Store and Google Play.
