More and more people are getting their news from podcasts. In fact, YouTube recently reported 1 billion monthly podcast users, not to mention those tuning in on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other platforms.

Like the average news podcast consumer, who reportedly listen to podcasts for seven hours per week, our Ad Fontes Media analysts spend hours tuning in to news podcasts from across the political spectrum. In fact, our team has now rated more than 3,170 episodes from 790 podcasts.

About 41% of the podcasts we’ve rated fall within the “recommended” section of the Media Bias Chart®. Sources in the green box (top middle) of the chart are recommended by our team to provide minimally biased and reliable, fact-based information.

The April version of the Podcast/Audio Media Bias Chart® released today includes 48 of the 790 podcasts our analyst team has rated. We choose a selection of podcasts to include on each month’s static media bias chart because it’s impossible to show all of them in one image (see the list of all 48 shows on the April chart here). In order to make the logos as large and as readable as possible, we have magnified a portion of the chart and removed portions around the edges that contain no sources.

You’ll find 11 sources within the green “recommended” box of the chart, including two that are featured on the chart for the first time.

  • Advisory Opinions
  • Amarica’s Constitution
  • CNN Political Briefing
  • Daily Tech Headlines
  • First Things Podcast – new!
  • Open to Debate
  • Somebody’s Gotta Win with Tara Palmeri – new!
  • Start Here
  • The McCarthy Report
  • The World and Everything In It
  • WSJ: The Journal.

This is only a sample of the podcasts we’ve rated. More podcasts fall within the green box, and we’ll feature those on charts in the future.

In addition to First Things Podcast and Somebody’s Gotta Win with Tara Palmeri, four podcasts are included on the chart this month for the first time:

  • I’ve Had It Podcast
  • Next Question with Katie Couric
  • Problematic Women
  • The Brittany Hughes Show
