Salt Lake Tribune Bias and Reliability Overview

Salt Lake Tribune is a weekly newspaper and website based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In October 2019 it transformed from a for-profit company to an independent nonprofit corporation. The Tribune is owned by businessman Paul Huntsman and is governed by a board of directors. The newspaper began in 1871 as The Tribune & Utah Mining Gazette, and has earned two Pulitzer Prizes. In late 2020, the daily print edition, which had a circulation of 36,000 at the time, moved to weekly publication. The website records approximately 5.2 million visits per month.
