In case you missed it, Ad Fontes Media released a new version of its Interactive Media Bias Chart® earlier this month, and it offers a lot of new ways to search our data about news and news-like sources. For example, everyone can now filter our data by ownership, geographic location, and source or content topic.
The “Ownership” search function of the chart allows you to look up websites, podcasts and TV/video shows by their parent companies, subsidiaries, or network affiliates. Just click in the search box at the top and then click Ownership to see all of the options!
For example, you can search “ABC News” to find their TV programs and website, search “USA Today” to find all of their local and national website rankings, or search “National Public Radio (NPR)” to see where various NPR podcasts fall on the chart.
With the completion of the merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery earlier this month, we now have dozens of media properties under the ownership tag of “Skydance Corp.,” which is the company’s new name. Search “Skydance Corp.” on the interactive chart, and you’ll find more than 100 websites, TV shows and podcasts rated by our team, including some from CNN, HBO, CBS and more.
On the newest edition of the TV/video chart we’re releasing today, you’ll find four shows from Fox News and four from CNN:
- CNN: Eclipsing Power: Musk, Bezos and the New Space Race
- CNN: The Road to War in the Middle East: A Fareed Zakaria Special
- CNN: The Story Is with Elex Michaelson
- CNN: Top of the World
- Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream
- Fox News: My View with Lara Trump
- Fox News: Special Report w/ Bret Baier
- Fox News: The Sunday Briefing
Having trouble finding these on the chart? Here’s an image showing just those eight programs:

But using the Ownership search function, you can easily see where all CNN shows or all Fox News shows fall on the chart! (Hint: They vary across the reliability and bias spectrum!). Just select “Fox News Media” or “CNN” under the Ownership search. It’s easy to create customized charts with the new interactive chart!
The October version of the TV/video chart that we’re releasing today includes 46 of the 940 news and news-like TV and video shows fully rated by our team. Sources inside the green box of the chart have been found to be minimally biased and fact-based.

We’ve magnified a portion of the chart to make the logos as large as possible, but we know it can still be difficult to read the logos. You can find a list of the shows on this chart here.
If you’re interested in our ratings for a TV or video show not on this chart, you can search for it on the new Interactive Media Bias Chart®. Everyone can now search for data on all 4,900 web, TV/video and podcast sources we’ve rated! On the free versions of the chart you’ll have limits on how many times you can search (five searches all time on the free version, 10 searches per month if you create a free login).
For additional searching, you’ll need to subscribe for as little as $5 a month. Our subscriptions come with even more perks, like viewing how a source’s bias and reliability ratings have changed over time.
You can also search all sources we’ve rated on our free mobile app for Android or Apple (daily search limits apply).
