The Ad Fontes Media analyst team has been hard at work rating the news on thousands of your favorite online sources. We choose a selection of these to highlight each month on our static Media Bias Chart. Let’s take a closer look.

We’ve now fully rated more than 2,460 web/print sources (that’s over 64,300 human-rated articles!), and we’re featuring 137 of them on March’s Static Media Bias Chart. A list of these 137 sources is available on our website

Accommodating all 2,460 sources on a single static chart is impossible, given the substantial volume. But if you want to check our ratings on more web/print sources, explore them using the Interactive Media Bias Chart on our website as well as our Media Bias Chart app, available for iPhone and Android

On this month’s web/print chart, 11 sources make their debut:

  • 404 Media
  • American Wire News
  • Boing Boing
  • ClickOnDetroit – NBC WDIV Local 4 Detroit
  • Racket News – Matt Taibbi
  • Resilience
  • ScienceClowns
  • The Olympian
  • The Verge
  • TheGrio
  • WIBC – Indy’s Mobile News

If some of these websites are new to you, we encourage you to explore them and share your thoughts. It’s a good exercise to visit sources you wouldn’t normally read in order to see how they are reporting on the day’s news. Varying your media diet is a great way to sharpen your critical thinking skills and become a more experienced news consumer.

Altogether our team has rated more than 3,650 sources from multiple platforms (web/print, TV/video and podcast/audio), with commercial data on over 10,000 sources. Become an annual subscriber today to search even more of your favorite news and news-like sources! And check back later this month for monthly charts that focus on podcast/audio and TV/video sources.
